Chancellorsville
Battlefield
The Battle of Chancellorsville
was fought April 27 to May 5, 1863, under the command of Union Major
General Joseph Hooker and Confederate General Robert E. Lee. Though
this decision found the Confederates victorious, the army's loss of
General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson proved to be a significant
one for General Lee and his men.
Chancellorsville Battlefield is a part of Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania
National Military Park in Virginia, established on February 14, 1927.
