Elba John Sanders
Elba was born June 22, 1846 in Jackson County, TN, the son of Elisha Sanders and Sarah Gordon.
He died March 12, 1912, Mt. Vernon, Jefferson Co. IL.
Elba married Martha Catherine Lynn (1855 - 1936) on February 17, 1873, in Goconda, Pope County, Illinois.
In 1900, Elba was living in Ewing Township, Franklin County, Illinois. It was recorded he and Martha had been married 27 years and that six children were born, five were still living. (Known children: Laura, Lora, Otto, James and Agnes)
Elba and Martha are buried at Flint Cemetery, Belle Rive, Jefferson County,IL.
