Last Will and Testament of Elizabeth Stokes, late of City of York, York County, Penna., deceased.

I Elizabeth Stokes, of the City of York, County of York and State of Pennsylvania. Being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time hereto for made.

And first direct that my body be decently interred in the Prospect Cemetery according to the rites and ceremonies of the Albright Church.

Item: I give and bequeath to my daughter Eliza Jane, wife of William M Snyder, any and all my real estate and personal property of which I am possessed to wit: is a piece of land situated in Lower Chanceford, comprising fifteen acres with such improvement as there is thereon.

Item 2: a legacy of $500.00 bequeath to me by Elizabeth Ann Scott, lately deceased of Lower Chanceford Township, York County, PA

In witness where I Elizabeth Stokes, Testator have to this my will set my hand and seal this 24th day January 1890.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above name Elizabeth Stokes in presence of us who have herein to subscribed our names at her request as witnesses thereto in the presence of the Testator and each other.

And I hereby constitute and appoint William M. Snyder sole Executor of this my last will and Testament.

Before me, David S. Witmer, Register for the Probate of Wills and for granting Letters Testamentary and of Administration, in and for said County, personally appeared James S. Bayley and A. Hosteller, two of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Last Will and Testament, who, upon being duly qualified according to law, doth depose and say that they were personally present and saw and heard Elizabeth Stokes late of the City of York, York County, Pennsylvania, deceased, the testatrix, sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the within and foregoing instrument of writing as and for her Last Will and Testament, and at the time of her so doing she, the testatrix was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, to the best of their knowledge and belief, and that they witnessed the same at the request of the testatrix and in her presence and in the presence of each other sworn and subscribed to before me this 1st day of March A.D. 1893

Elizabeth Stokes the said decedent, died on the 18th day of February A. D., 1893, at or about the hour of 10:15 o'clock, A. M., of said day, as per affidavit of death in Book No. 7, page 83, filed on the 1st day of March A. D., 1893.

Letters Testamentary of the foregoing Will of Elizabeth Stokes deceased, were granted to William M Snyder, the Executor named in the said Will, after being duly qualified according to the law, on the 1st day of March A. D., 1893.
