WALTER SANDERS

WALTER SANDERS, MCLEANSBORO - Funeral services for Walter "Pa" Sanders, 98, Orlando, Fla., and a former McLeansboro resident, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Johnson Funeral Chapel, McLeansboro, with the Rev. Billy Duncan officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, McLeansboro.

Friends may call at the Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. Sanders died at 1:15 p.m. Friday, April 9, 1982 at the Florida Manor Nursing Home, Orlando, Fla. He was a retired funeral director, and was owner and operator of the Sanders Funeral Home, McLeansboro, for many years.

He was born Dec. 24, 1883, in Hamilton County, the son of Willmore and Sarah (Smith) Sanders.

He was married to Anna Sloan, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include one son, Harold Sanders, Royal Oak, Mich.; one daughter, Eulah Bond, Orlando, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Mr. Sanders was a member of the General Baptist Church, McLeansboro.
