Buriah's grave stone states he was born 1801 and died December 18, 1866. He was the son of William O. and Jean Short.
It should be noted that in the will of William O. Short, Buriah is referred to as Briar.
Buriah was married to 1) Nancy Stinson (1806 - 1866) and 2) Elizabeth Trippett (married 28 Oct 1866, Vanderburgh Co., IN).
Buriah and Nancy were the parents of eleven children.
Buriah is buried in the Locust Hill Cemetery, Kratzville Road, Evansville, Indiana, along with Nancy and Elizabeth.
