Subject: Phila Charity Lists
Shalom fellow Jewish geneologists: I have recently donated a copy of the
following booklets:
Report of the Federation of Jewish Charities of Philadelphia and
its Affiliated Organizations,Dated 1921
Report of the Federation of Jewish Charities of Philadelphia and its
Affiliated Organizations,Dated 1925,Volume 1+2.
These booklets contain lists of donators who donated money for
Jewish fundraising. Included is amount of donation and their name & address.
A copy of the above item has been donated by myself to the following
locations: The Jewish Geneological Society of Phila, Jewish Geneological
Society of NY ,and the Church of Latter Day Saints of Jesus Christ (LDS). It
can be accessed at any local Mormon Church Family History Center. Have them
put a request in for a microfilm copy.
Due to the large size, I can't type out all the names. So, to help out the
stressed out researcher, i.e. you, I would be happy to "try" and accomodate
by looking up a name for you in my copy. Try to keep it to less than a
million names! (Limit of 1 or 2). I'll probably ask for a SASE and a few
dollars if you want a photocopy. I've gotten e-mails from people who don't
understand the concept of including their name and e-mail address in a
letter. Not all of us have ESP so try and be clear in your coorespondence

Hot off the Press:
Report of the Federation of Jewish Charities of Philadelphia and
its Affiliated Organizations, Dated 1941
The format changed as this booklet only contains names and no addresses.
It still may be worth checking if you have an uncommon name in Phila.
You can contact me. Same procedure as above. (smile)
