>>SUMMER SANITARIUM CONCERT REVIEWS<<

The summer tour has official kicked off with Metallica's performance at the EMP Grand Opening Show in Seattle Wa. Let the reviews begin...

June 23: EMP Grand Opening
Metallica's show on the opening night of the EMP, was short and powerful. The setlist could be described as a short introduction to Metallica. They were happy to be back playing and are very excited to start the summer tour.

Setlist:
Enter Sandman
For Whom The Bell Tolls
Sad But True
Fuel
I Disappear
King Nothing
Nothing Else Matters
One
Battery

June 30: Foxboro, MA
Metallica introduced a new setlist that was much longer than the one used at the EMP Grand Opening in Seattle. The show rocked, Metallica lasted over 2 hours long. I can't wait to see them again!

The Tour Setlist:

Creeping Death
For Whom The Bell Tolls
Seek & Destroy
Fade To Black
Fuel
Memory Remains
Sad But True
No Leaf Clover
King Nothing
Wherever I May Roam
Mastertarium
Battery
Nothing Else Matters
I Disappear
One
Turn The Page
Enter Sandman
Caress/So What/Die, Die My Darling Medley

July 1: Rockingham, NC
Metallica sticks with the setlist from Foxboro, and probably will throughout the entire tour. Metallica sounded great but it rained like a mother f**er. After the show Metallica decided to hang with their buds froms Corrosion of Conformity.

July 3: St. Louis, MO
Same setlist, no changes. Awesome show. It was hot as hell out there. The pyro was amazing. The band played with amazing intensity. Korn and Kid Rock sucked. Powerman sounded way too comercial. Great show by Metallica!

July 4: Baltimore, MD
Fourth of July Firweorks definitely showed up at the concert as the pyrotechnicians showed their stuff. Everyone went nuts when Ecstasy of Gold came on and when they started playing Creeping Death. A Great Show! Same setlist.

July 9: Dallas, TX
Review by Jpmaster77: This was my second Metallica show and although James didn't show up for it, it was still awesome! I snuk in a camera but when I got them developed, they weren't that great (Hey, I bought the camera at Walgreens right before the show, what did you expect?) I'll try and get better pics next time. Anyways, I bought the tickets at the last minute so my seats were in the Upper Deck and to the way way side of the stage, meaning from there, I couldn't see anything!! All I could see was the backstage area with a bunch of roadies walking around. No way I was gonna waste 65 bucks to sit in some shit hole, so I took some pictures of the crowd and got the hell out of there. I went all around the stadium taking pictures of Korn and Kid Rock, but saving most for Metallica. They wouldn't let anyone on to the field if you didn't have a special orange ribbon around your wrist, I obviously didn't have one. I waited and waited for an opening to run passed the event staff and make it onto the floor, but there was no way. Finally, the time came for Metallica, and in that moment, the lights went out!! I saw my opening and jumped the railing in the middle of the commotion and took off like a madman. I was on the floor!!!! I went to about the middle of the field, and screamed the lyrics to Creeping Death along with Jason. The stage was awesome. Everything was just perfect. I got closer and closer to the front of the stage and I got to about 20 feet away, I stopped there and thats where I stayed throughout the concert. Everyone was packed in front of me, I didn't stand a chance if I tried to get closer. I was in for a great show and I can't wait to get a free one on August 6th.

PICS TO BE SCANNED....
