John A. Budilovsky
John A. Budilovsky
B.S., M.B.A., J.D., LL.M.
1952-1998
Devoted Father & Husband
Honest Lawyer
Good Friend
Gear Head

John was a very good friend of ours, who sold us our Metropolitan. His wife, Luli, drove the Met daily for a few years, partly to market her real estate business. John had approximately fifteen vehicles, but said that the Met was the only one he'd sell to a friend because of it's reliability. When he sold us the Met, he not only gave us a good car that makes everyone smile, but he made Claudia and I fellow Gear Heads. We thank him for his friendship, for introducing us to our continued good friend (Luli), for the Met, and for a hobby we continue to enjoy.

From John's Chicago Tribune Obituary:
John A. Budilovsky, 46, a Batavia lawyer and active community member, died Friday in Hinsdale Hospital. A native of Chicago, Mr. Budilvosky graduated from Proviso West High School. He later graduated from the Kent College of Law and obtained a degrees in international law, taxation, and marketing from universities throughout the world. Mr. Budilovsky travelled the world, meeting his wife (Lourdes) in Peru. During his varied career, he was a college marketing professor, a car salesman, a real estate developer, and a lawyer. Mr. Budilovsky moved to Batavia in the early 1990's and immersed himself in the community. He helped rebuild the business district when he purchased an 84-year-old building and renovated it for his law offices. He received numerous architechural awards for his efforts. An avid and collector of antique motorcylcles and cars, Mr. Budilovsky showcased his fleet every year during the annual Batavia parade. Survivors include his wife, Lourdes "Luli;" a daughter, Josephine; his parents, John and Leona; and two sisters, Jane Zeck and Joan.
