20..  Duties include, but are not limited to, acting as spokespersons for the community and seeking
conversation with other community ambassadors. It is the desire of the pageant that our ambassadors are constantly recognized as a warm and friendly group and maintain the high standards the pageant has set forth.

21.  Ambassadors shall not chew gum in public while wearing their sash and crown.

22.  Ambassadors are expected to act with discretion at all times. They shall maintain respectable speech and manner. Abusive language will not be tolerated {ex. Oh my God} The use of this statement is offensive to many  people and will not be accepted. 

23.  Consumption of alcoholic beverages, smoking, and illegal use of controlled substances shall not be permitted by any Ambassador. While the committee does not wish to interfere with your personal choices, we expect to maintain high standards with the young women representing local businesses within our community.

24.  In regards to the young men you may meet during your appearances in other communities, we expect you to act with dignity and pride.  

25.   You should maintain respectable speech and manner at all times to the pageant committee and director.

26.  No dancing or sunglasses on the float during the Parade. This does not look good to the public and you are representing our community.

27.  Each candidate must agree that if she is selected as our Ambassador she will not enter any other pageant during her reign.

28.  The Ambassadors are not done with their responsibilities until they give up their crowns. The Ambassadors need to be in attendance throughout all the pageant activities leading up to the pageant.

29. The Ambassadors must maintain their B grade point average during their reign. If you fall below a B average you will not attend pageant functions until you bring your grades up.

30. Lying will not be tolerated. Our Ambassadors need to be honest and have integrity.

31. No cell phones or pagers will be allowed at ambassador functions.

32. Cohabitation (living with a significant other) is prohibited.

33. If there are any conflicts during your reign you need to work them out with the pageant director and the committee. The committee has the final say in regards to decisions concerning the ambassadors reign.


RELINQUISHMENT OF TITLE

If any Oak Grove Ambassador willfully disobeys the guidelines set forth in this Code of Conduct and Contract, the Miss Oak Grove Scholarship Pageant Committee reserves the right to remove her title and replace her position. That person shall return the trophy, crown, sash, and the educational scholarship shall be forfeited. In the event that any of the reigning Oak Grove Ambassadors are unable to fulfill their roles and obligations, or becomes disqualified through violation of the contract, it is the right of the Miss Oak Grove  Scholarship Pageant Committee to use discretion in assigning the title to an alternate.

Disciplinary action may include a verbal warning, written warning, suspension and/ or discharge. The appropriate disciplinary action imposed will be determined by the pageant committee. The pageant does not guarantee that one form of action will necessarily precede another.

I have read and understand the rules stated in this Code of Conduct and agree to abide by them to the best of my ability. By signing this contract I understand that I will be an Ambassador for the City of Oak Grove and follow all instructions dictated by the Miss Oak Grove Scholarship Pageant.
