First Generation


1. Jeff Davis Pinson was born Abt. ??, and died Abt. ? in ?. He married Elizabeth Thornton.     
Children of Jeff Davis Pinson and Elizabeth Thornton are:

Jeff Arthur Pinson - born 26-Feb-1898 in Alabama. He married Ida Pearl Sizemore Walden (or Walding?) about 1915-20. Worked in textile mill in Sylacauga, Talladega Co., AL. Retired from B.F. Goodrich's Martha Mill in Thomaston, Upson Co., GA where he worked in the Weave Room. Died 02-Feb-1980 at Houston Co. Hospital, Warner Robins, GA. He had lived with his daughter, Dorothy Pinson Daniel, in Warner Robins. Buried Southview Cemetery, Thomaston, Upson Co., GA beside his wife, Ida Sizemore Pinson. Coggins Funeral home handled arrangements. (Photos coming soon....)

Ida Pearl SIZEMORE was born 16-June-1893 and died about 1976 in Greenville SC, buried at Southview Cemetery near Thomaston, Upson County, GA. She married first Jimmy (or James?) WALDEN or WALDING  18-Dec-1907, one surviving child of that union (Thelma Nazarine Walden or WALDING? ) was born about 1911. Ida Pearl Sizemore married Jeff Arthur PINSON between 1915-1920 and had five PINSON children.

They lived in Sylacauga, AL where both worked in cotton mills there. That's where they met. After they married and had several children, the Pinsons moved for work in the Martha Mills in Thomaston, Upson Co., GA, and bought a farm in Pike County GA near Molena. About 1946-47, they moved to 121 "S" Street in Thomaston in the Silvertown village named for the Goodyear tire named "Silvertown."


Second Generation

James (or Jimmie?) WALDEN or WALDING and Ida Pearl  SIZEMORE were married 18-Dec-1907, had one son who died an infant and had one daughter, Thelma Nazarine  Walden or Walding, b. about 1911, who married Lon Jack Scroggins (Sr.) about 1930, and died 15-Jun-1931 in childbirth.

Jeff Arthur PINSON and Ida SIZEMORE were married about 1915-1920 had the following children: (photos coming soon)

Ethel PINSON b. about 1920, married Mutt FALLIN, one son Jeff and one daughter Myrna.  Jeff Fallin resides near Fairmount, GA.

Dorothy PINSON b. about 1922, married Ross DANIEL, four daughters, Thelma, Mildred, Maggie, Faye.  Resided for years in Fort Valley, Peach Co. GA, and Warner Robins, Houston Co. GA, Dorothy and Ross DANIEL are buried at the ?? Cemetery off Houston Road in south Bibb County GA.

Arthur DeWitt PINSON, born 28-Dec-1924, married Marvell TAYLOR, two daughters, Pamela b.1958, and Denise b.1961.  Arthur DeWitt Pinson resided for decades in Warner Robins, GA and retired from Robins AFB Civil Service.  He now resides on Lake Sinclair near Eatonton, GA. 

Bernice PINSON b. about 1926, married Bill DAVIS, 3 children, Douglas, Donald, and Debbie. Bill Davis' family was from Molena in Pike Co. GA. After leaving the US Navy in 1948, he attended the University of GA and roomed with LJ Scroggins for one quarter before bringing his wife, Bernice, there to live at which point LJ moved to a boarding house. Lerline PINSON, born July 1931, married Felton TIDWELL, one son Harold and one daughter, Vickie.  They reside in Newnan, Coweta County, GA
